The system started with a consolidation of vehicles from several private and public agencies. Curb-to-curb demand-response service is provided within Shiawassee County. Also, limited service is available
for out-of-county educational/medical/employment/training appointments for senior and ADA-disabled county residents through SATA’s
Mobility Management Program,
Transportation Solutions.

SCOA, (Shiawassee Council on Aging), has an agreement with Shiawassee Area Transportation Agency (SATA) to provide Shiawassee Seniors with FREE rides Monday through Friday from 9:00am-6:00pm. To schedule a pickup time you must contact SATA the day prior to needing the service at 989-729-2687.
If you are unable to schedule a ride with SATA

If you are unable to schedule a ride with SATA, you may qualify for Transportation Solutions. This service is primarily used for medical appointments and can be used outside of Shiawassee County. Volunteer drivers are paid mileage to transport individuals. To see if you qualify for this program or would like to become a volunteer driver contact Transportation Solutions at 989-725-9303.
